Persediaan umur 55. Fasa seterusnya. Itu pun kalau sempat. Harap-harap sempat.

Warm up dahulu sebelum full gear 55. Maksudnya, dah buat sikit-sikit supaya tidak terkejut tidak kekok bila sampai waktu.

Andaikata tak sempat, niat dah ada, perbuatan pun dah ada sebagai bukti, walaupun tak sesempurna azam yang telah diberi.

Ada orang kata, umur 55 ialah umur rehat. Saya berpendapat, tidak. Umur 55 tidak patut menyebabkan pasrah semata-mata menunggu saatnya tiba, bahkan menambahkan azam dan iltizam untuk terus maju ke hadapan.

Persaingan dan berlawan

 

Sebenarnya, memang kena ada persaingan dan berlawan. Bahkan, ia adalah fitrah. Sebab dengan adanya sifat itu kita akan jadi lebih baik dan maju.

Kalau kata tak perlu bersaing dan berlawan, macam tak kena dan tak jujur dan melawan fitrah pula.

Kita kan manusia? Sifat bersaing dan berlawan itu adalah fitrah.

Cuma yang nak kena tune sikit ialah bersaing dan berlawan tu bukan dengan cara tikam belakang, cakap tahi dan hasad dengki. Tetapi dengan cara yang positif.

Jika band tersebut lagunya sedap macam Sil Khannaz, kita bersaing supaya lagu kita pun sama sedap, jikalau tidak lebih sedap.

Kalau produksi albumnya sedap macam Herriot Band (Official), kita usahakan supaya produksi album kita pun sama sedap, jikalau tidak lebih sedap.

Kita tengok kehebatan band sampai tour ke Europe macam Humiliation Malaysia Death Metal, kita pun cari la jalan untuk tour Europe juga, kalaupun tidak, negara jiran macam Farasu pun dah terlebih ok.

Sebab, kita semua bawa bendera MALAYSIA. Kita bawa semangat nusantara ke seluruh dunia. Kita berdagang bukan sekadar minyak sawit dan komponen elektronik, bahkan kita berdagang muzik underground metal versi kita!

Memang la nak jadi macam Iron Maiden,  Metallica dan Amon Amarth tu hampir mustahil, tapi itulah cara band2 ini maju ke depan.

Bersaing dan berlawan dengan cara  inspiring each other tak boleh ke? 

Gaduh la dengan band Norway ke, Rusia ke, Mexico ke... Ada juga faedahnya. At least orang sana kenal band Malaysia sebab gaduh tu. Gaduh sesama kita apa dapat?

Thanks for the support!

We at ROCK AT LARGE have been in this business since 1998 (started with the name - Metal Shop Production). Distro come and go, trends come and go, but we are still here.

Not because we are the biggest. Not because we are the strongest.

We are still here because of solid persistence, undying commitment, and GENUINE passion for rock/metal music.

Over the years, we have seen many distros and sellers enter the market with great enthusiasm. Some survived, some disappeared, and some unfortunately lost their way. In the pursuit of quick sales, some chose the route of excessive discounting and cheap pricing. It may work for a while, but eventually it becomes a race to the bottom where nobody wins, including themselves.

Others went even further by making promises they could not keep, delaying orders endlessly, or in some cases, simply ripping people off. The damage goes beyond a single transaction. It destroys trust within the community.

For us, the philosophy has always been simple.

Treat customers fairly.

Sell genuine products.

Deliver what we promise.

Build relationships, not just transactions.

Of course, we are not perfect.

Over the years, we have probably missed a few orders, overlooked a message or two, packed the wrong item, made delays, or made mistakes along the way. Running a small independent operation for nearly three decades comes with its fair share of challenges. When mistakes happened, we tried our best to make things right and learn from them.

The difference is that mistakes can happen in any business. What matters is how you respond to them. Integrity is not about never making mistakes. Integrity is about taking responsibility when mistakes happen.

We have never believed that underground music, rock, metal, punk, or any form of independent culture can survive solely on cheap sales and short-term thinking. A healthy scene needs trust, sustainability, and people who genuinely care about what they are doing.

After more than two decades, we are still learning, still improving, and still making mistakes along the way. But one thing remains unchanged: our commitment to serving music collectors and supporters with honesty and consistency.
